Writers In The Vineyard

Writers In The Vineyard is located in the village of Viladellops which is situated within the Massis de Garraf Natural Park, South of Barcelona. It is part of the Alt Penedes, one of the famous wine regions of Spain. Dating back to AD 930, this small village is home to eighteen houses, a winery, a 13th-century church, and a 1000-year-old watchtower. The vineyard is dotted with stone huts listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site that were shelters for the workers of the land. It is an authentic working vineyard producing award-winning wines.

It is located just 25 minutes south of Barcelona Airport, 15 minutes from the Sitges tourist resort, but it is a peaceful haven to commune with nature, discover history and enjoy a secluded environment in which to create.  

Private and shared accommodation is available in the beautiful, restored Spanish country homes, with access to the surrounding vineyard and forest trails, winery tours, and tastings. Retreats are planned for small groups of writers, painters, and those who practice mindfulness. Their stay can be enhanced with visits to other local historic sites, restaurants, and beautiful beaches if desired.
